As many people know, Sally Ride, Buzz Aldrin, and Neil Armstrong are some of those that make up the astronaut hall of fame. However, recently, it seems like a highly unusual character has joined their ranks.
Rhianon Wilson owns a bulldog named Nellie. A few weeks ago, Rhianon took a snap of the pup while walking around their garden. In the photo, Nellie was captured with a massive bubble around her head that it looked like she was wearing an astronaut helmet.
WeRateDogs, a popular Twitter dog account that does exactly what its name says, shared Nellie’s photo. The caption said that Nellie is an astronaut and asked for people not to interrupt her spacewalk. They also gave a rating of 13/10. The tweet became viral, earning over 32,000 retweets and 261,000 likes.
According to Rhianon, Nellie loved the bubbles so much. She was jumping up and popping them. While Jack, Rhianon’s son, was blowing the bubbles, the fur mom decided to snap some shots. Rhianon could not stop laughing upon seeing the photo that she took. It was as if Nellie was wearing the bubble in her head.
That's one small boop for the pup; one giant boop for pupkind. 🐾🚀

In just a few hours, Rhianon’s fluke shot earned 250,000 likes and shares. The 10-week-old puppy did not only become famous in an instant. She also won the approval of NASA as a crucial part of the world’s space crew.
Rhianon could not believe that her dog’s innocent picture turned viral. She said that getting a response from NASA was insane. Of course, it did not take long for the internet to make their own version of Nellie’s photo placing her among astronaut hall of fame. Some retouched the picture and made it appear like Nellie was walking on the moon, diving in the sea, or going into space.
According to Rhianon, she was completely overwhelmed with how things had gone. She loves the edited pictures that people are sending her. The fur mom said that this whole experience had made her smile.
